or advanced -- young or old --makes no difference.
A musical foundation can begin even before a baby is born.
It has been proven that classical music played in utero increases the IQ and whole brain activity of the child.
This early musical foundation contributes to a life-long appreciation of music that continues throughout life.
There are many aspects of music that can be learned at any
age. Through the use of rhythm instruments, movement, and visuals, children as young as 18 months old can be introduced
to the fundamentals of music. School age children can learn about composers, instrument recognition
as well as music theory. A well established foundation can help to create a well-rounded and working knowledge
of music. The education continues by teaching an appreciation of many different genre of music (jazz, classical, Broadway
tunes) and learning to play or master an instrument or though singing. Age is not a hinderance. It is never too
late to begin.
